craving Zante Indian pizza

Tonight we decided to treat ourselves to something special...a very large Zante's famous Indian pizza!!! If you've never had Zante's before, you have got to stop in for a slice. Yes, they do slices! That's one of the charming things about pizza joints that I require. Zante's main gig is straight-up Indian food, which I've never even tried because the pizza is just so damn attractive. The crust is crunchy where it needs crunch and the rest is soft, succulent naan bread. The vegetarian toppings are crafted into a colorful blend of curried eggplant, hot pepper, saag, green onions, cilantro, and garlic. They use a mild paneer instead of mozzarella. They also do a vegan version and, of course, they have a meat version for those who need an additional dab of lamb on their pie. Sometimes I think it's spicy and other times i think it's just spiced. Either way, have it with a glass of red wine and if you're smart you'll avoid delivery on the weekends because that's just asking for trouble.

"Whatever it is I think I see, becomes a slice of Indian pizza to me!"

I've heard that their regular, non-Indian pizza is delicious as well, but I am always too tempted by the Indian pizza to try a NY-style slice. Is it supper time yet??
