Vocabulary Test
Last night, over a really delicious martini at Zam Zam, we created some new phrases to add to the modern English vernacular. I'm too lazy to Google them to see if they already exist, but something tells me that they don't. Feel free to pitch in alternative definitions. Nothing is set in stone.
semi-nocturnal gravepine implosion - Sounds like some kind of mid-morning wine-related wet dream. I'll drink to that!
bizarre basement undertone - That sneaking suspicion you get about a person (usually male) whose lives in his parents basement and spends his free time alternating between reading comic books, playing video games and jerking off. The tip off is usually greasy hair, poor social skills, and a portly build. It's not so much of an undertone, now is it?
elderly lunchroom downpour - Oh dear god, please let me be done with lunch and back at my desk when this storm comes in. I have a few versions of a mental image and none are pleasant.
unpredictable overconfidence tornado - Now that's my kind of storm! I needed a unpredictable over confidence tornado moment a few times at work last week, but instead I was tired, hungover and disorganized.
