Radius @ the MakeOut Room

Last week, I caught an amazing show at the MakeOut Room. It was part of the Mission Creek Music Festival. It was two of my favorite bands of the moment, Cloud Cult and the Ebb and Flow, and both of them played fantastic & captivating sets. There were two other bands playing that night, Hijack the Disco (I ditched before they took stage) and the opening band, Radius, a band with more laptop computers than humans. Here's a very quick, messy drawing that captures the moment .

The thing about their set was that they played on a stage that was too crowded with equipment from the headlining bands and meanwhile their keyboardist didn't use any stand at all for his instrument. He balanced it on his big, long legs, which made me very nervous. I wanted to focus on the music but I kept my eyes locked on that wobbly lap keyboard waiting for the big tip over. Finally, I decided to look down and draw something to shift my focus. Drawing can be very relaxing and a nice diversion from anxiety.
