the love affair continues

Recently went to see Jeff from Brown's My Favorite play a solo show at the Brainwash, and in the midst of the show noticed in my peripheral vision a tall figure glaring into the window.

I turned my head to see and who was standing there but a thin man in a ruffly, white wedding dress carrying a small vintage, floral suitcase in one hand and a picket sign in the other. The picket sign read, "Lighten up baby, I'm a chicken!!"

He stood there for a full minute or more, staring into the window with a deadpan expression. Eventually, the whole room noticed him and was staring back, snapping photos and laughing. I didn't have my camera, so I captured the moment in a quick, messy drawing.

This was one of those "Only in San Francisco" moments that puts a big grin on your face and makes you really grateful you live here.

I have seen him too! He was out on the Haight and he also made chicken noises to passers by and walked around in a chicken like manner. I had the exact same reation.
